Christian Deconstruction: Did Bible Prophecy Predict This?

"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (Jer. 17:9)

"Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools," (Romans 1:21-22)

"And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;" (Romans 1:28)

"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men." (2 Peter 3:3-7)

In our previous installment titled "Rais'n Youngn's" we discussed the challenges that we, as parents, face raising our children. You can watch that video here.

In this article we are going to highlight one area of the internet conversation that parents may not be aware of that your children could be drawn into.

The idea of what is known as "Christian Deconstruction" has become a very popular topic on YouTube and chances are pretty good that young, impressionable minds could be drawn to this "flashy idea with a hook in it".

Some have described "Christian Deconstruction" as,

"the process by which a Christian critically reevaluates the tenets and doctrines of traditional Christianity and emerges with a different perspective on their faith. According to Brian Zahnd in his book When Everything Catches Fire, deconstruction is “a crisis of Christian faith that leads to either a reevaluation of Christianity or sometimes a total abandonment of Christianity.”

We find here on a YouTube channel titled "Jezebel Vibes" one such young lady who has apparently, from her testimony, walked away from the Christian values that were attempted to be instilled in her during childhood. One could glean from her own testimony that she is on a crusade to lead others down the same path that she has chosen.

In her video titled "7 Things I've Learned Since Leaving Christianity", she has shared some reasons that she ultimately decided to ""deconstruct".

The video is available on our YouTube channel "Common Salvation" Click on the image at the top of the screen for the full video. For now let's examine scripture.

The question has been posed in the title "Christian Deconstruction: Did Bible Prophecy Predict This?

Rather than impose my opinion on you, let's look at some passages from the word of God and let you draw your own conclusion. We read in 2 Peter 3:3-6 that,

In Romans chapter 3 and verse 18 we read,

"There is no fear of God before their eyes. Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God." (Romans 3:18)

"The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes." (Psalm 36:1)

"For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame." (Hebrews 6:4-6)

"For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was." (2 Timothy 3:6-9)

We see from these passages of scripture that in the End Times mankind will not only be scoffers, but they will have no fear of God. There will be those as well like this young lady who will be attempting to lead others down the broad path that we are told about in Matthew 7.

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." (Matthew 7:13-15)

For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. (2 Peter 2:18)

So, in closing the answer is a resounding Yes, the Bible did predict that prior to the Tribulation there would be those "falling away" and attempting to take others to hell with them.

This young lady needs our prayers. She obviously had something go terribly wrong in her life spiritually. The issue at hand is this. Parents, we must be careful as well in our training to take time and listen to our children when they have questions.

My Bible tells me that one of the reasons we are seeing this type of behavior in the Church, is the fact that fathers are not doing the job as spiritual leaders of the family. We see in these passages of scripture that fathers are the ones that God will hold accountable.

"And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord." (Ephesians 6:4)

"Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged." (Colossians 3:21)

Mothers were never tasked with being the spiritual leaders of the family, but by in large, these days they are the only spiritual leaders that their children see. This is a sad commentary on the American family today!

Pray for America! Pray for our families! Pray for those churches that have adopted Marxism and the Social Gospel over the Gospel of Christ!

Protect our children from going down the tragic path this young lady has chosen!

My heart is broken for this young lady and many more like her.

Fathers! Wake up! God will hold YOU accountable for the precious children he has entrusted you with!

My dear friend, if you have never received Christ as your Saviour, would you do so today? Pray this from your heart. Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe you died on the cross for my sins. I believe you were buried and rose again the third day. I ask you now to forgive me of my sins and come into my heart and save me. Amen
